"Blessed
are the peacemakers, Keith
Herron was the second child of Otis and Beula Herron, born in East Cleveland,
Ohio in 1911. He graduated in 1929 from Shaw High School in East Cleveland.
After serving as a Sergeant in the Medical Corps in World War II from
1941 to 1945 in the European Theatre, Keith returned to Cleveland where
he continued what became a 40-year career with Addressograph - Multigraph
Corporation, serving as general manager of offices in Louisville, Kentucky,
Chattanooga, Tennessee, New York City, and Cleveland Ohio before his
retirement to Louisville in 1975.
Keith was an active and valued member of the First United Methodist Church of Louisville, Kentucky, the site of his memorial service following his death in 1977. He was eulogized by his pastor, his brother Don and his nephews who echoed the sentiments of all his family and friends, describing him as " the most gentle, caring, honest, sincere, and genuine of gentlemen." Although he was a successful respected businessman, Keith Herron always placed the needs of his family and friends above his work. He was a creative man with a knack for art and interior design. Quick-witted and graced with a wonderful sense of humor, his greatest tribute may have been that no one ever heard Keith Herron ever utter a negative word about any other person.
